Searay is not into building High Performance, I think I mentioned that before. I do find it amazing how they could slow the boat down so much:eek:

As I said before Searay thiks their boats are made of GOLD, Makes a Baja/Fountain look like a bargin. Not to mention the nicer components, and stronger/higher quality build.

Got to be honest, I was actually hoping for kind of a Camaro vz Mustang competition between Hammer X and Pachanga

More like Camaro vz Escort:mad:

I can understand your disappointment.

Even the details in the article are counter intuitive for any performance boater. Bravo 3? Keep speeds low so external steering is not needed? ITS?

Maybe SR needs to do some research here on the boards to get ideas on how to build a high performance boat. I am embarrassed for SR in this venture.

Correct me if I am wrong, but would - ITS (Integrated Transom System) automaticly delete the Latham option? Not to be confused with DTS (Digital Throttle Shift) Mercury Marine is making things confusing here. The extra weight of ITS, along with the weight of HO with closed cooling, will only hurt a 22' 7" hull that is light in the nose. A B3 is even more weight at the back of the boat, w/NO performance advantage. Better include some large tab options with this package.
Another thing I noticed was the deck hatch opened toward the front, and that is OK on a boat that runs 45 mph, but at 60+ into the wind, and the kid forgot to latch the deck hatch......You could be having Taylor Made for lunch.....

That boat doesnt need an ounce more weight in the back. Im still curious how it would run with a small block.

I think that I was wrong on this....I found a photo of the port side bow, that appears to have the hinge knuckle on the port side of the hatch? I could tell that it was not on the front.

Photos sent, plus I added some photos of a Baja/Pachanga 26 that we built a few years back. It was the only one ever produced!

From what I have seen, the hatch opens port to starboard, or visa versa. They had the one large one at the front of the boat to help with access to the bow when docking, securing ropes, etc.

Thanks again for the photos!
