The Maximus props are 28 pitch and have been reworked by Brett specifically for a 36 Baja. They might be a tad small, but at 5500 I was running 85 and had 11% slip, so if you can hit 6000 Brett said you will be around 92. Just offering them to use for testing if you want.

I should not have any excuses next year lets just hope these fuel prices stay low. Maybe we can put something together for all the Baja owners.

It's interesting all the things Dave and Adam discovered that were wrong from the factory in the electrical and wiring. They have at this point pretty much completely rewired the boat.

Things we discovered:

The A/C pump in the bilge was mounted upside down which kept it in an air lock. That explains why I had to always prime it to us the A/C. The pump is now mounted correctly in a different location so I'm not standing on it when in the bilge.

The refridgerator is both A/C & D/C and is designed to switch over to A/C when we hook up to shore power. However it was wired up wrong and stayed on D/C all the time.

The factory stereo wiring was a JOKE. The system was not well thought out at all but that has all been corrected.

The swim platform was off center.

The starboard transom assemble was missing a shim from the factory which explains why I could never keep the little plastic shim on the side of the outdrive.

The best part of this project is that we have gone over this boat 100% from top to bottom and found and fixed any and all issues. I will be able to say it is perfect when we are completed.

The boat is looking Awesome!! So much attention to detail by everyone involved. The finished product will be much enjoyed by you and Tommy!
Now if you were in my neck of the woods, it is snowing very hard at that moment!! We had 7" a couple of days ago and expecting 6-12" more. So I do envy your upcoming splash and boating experince!!

I have to say, Mark is one of the nicest guys around! He has a habit of helping people in business!! I for one owe my business success to Mark's help. He is always there when I need him!!!

Jay shouldn't be gambeling with his fixed income & the current state of the economy. Plus he isn't right in the head anyway!

We do need to have a national gathering. I vote you to be in charge.

Okay I just received an email from Dave and Adam and they included some new photos.

All is going very well and I'm happy to report that the engines are finished, the exhaust is installed, battery cables connected, wiring harness connected, fuel lines connected and the outdrives and swim platform are installed.

They went ahead and installed trim rings and gaskets on both the outside and the inside of the transom where the tail pipes pass through. NICE TOUCH GUYS!

We ran into a very slight problem and the seat base and the new triple rear bolster to not match up as they should. Mike McLeod made a special trip over and he and Dave figured out a solution and Kevin Brown is doing just a slight modification on the seat base.

They will be installing the new custom panels on each side of the cockpit next, then the new bolsters go it and finally the sunpad and the rear bolster.

Those guys have done a fanastic job and I know they will be as glad to get this project out of the shop as I will be to get it back on the water.
