back to baja

I am making my way back to a baja boat once again.
I have owned 2 eliminator daytona's the last 4 years.
The wife and kids want more room with a better cabin.
my previous baja's have been 3 272's a 29 outlaw with a single 502 and a 33 outlaw.

I am looking for a 29 outlaw with twin 454 mags (min.)
1999 or newer. low hours with all the bells and whistles.

Welcome back and I'm sure your timing is good because there are a lot of good deals out there.

If you want to consider a 30OL I know that Jay "Never Enuff" here on the board has a real nice 30 with 496 Mags for sale.

Happy shopping

I second going with a 30 OL if it is in the budget.

Thanks Dock. Send me a PM if your interested in the cleanest 06 Baja 30 OL around. Low hours, fresh water, garage kept.

Clean is an understatement!

When Barb runs Jay out of the house he goes and polishes on the boat. The last time we were out there the boat was so clean I did not want him to put it in the water.

I just ran across a 05 30 OL w/496 Mag's for $65,000. It was a repo boat but is cheap rergardless. I can look up the ad if you'd like.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. After you pay to bring the boat back to good condition you might as well spend the money on the front end and save yourself the problems associated with reparing and cleaning up a "good" deal. IMO :party-smiley-004:

Don't let anyone fool you about Eliminators speeds either. A Baja can outrun an eliminator........or 2. :drink:

don't mean to bust you bubble but...

most cats, pound for pound and horse power for horse power will outrun any vee bottom... i have been running cats for 4 year and ran vee bottom for 20 years prior to that...

i have not problem outrunning all my buddies with the same hp as me....

with that being said, vees have many more adantages than cats.... that is why i am going back.. and to a bajs no less

Easy there. This isn't no cat killer thread. I was just showing what an overpowered 29 can do, since that is what you were looking for footage wise. Being a cat guy I assumed you wanted to still have the speed to play.
It is a no-brainer that a cat will out run a v.

jckat 12-05-2008 11:30 PM

I was always a vee guy... until i rode in my first cat, they are truly amazing... the vee's are just more family friendly and more versital. unfortunately it just takes much more hp and $$ to get them to move across the water.

out of curiosity, how is the control on the 29 over 85 mph.
chine walk? porpoising?
all the bajs's I ever owned were 70-75 mph.

Dock:

there are definately some deals out there..
i have found 2 30 ol's with 496 ho's in the $60k range
also a few 33's...

I think i may wait another month before i pull the trigger...

I just want to see how this whole auto industry deal shakes out. It could affect a whole bunch of us...
