Captains Choice In Destin
I talked to Mitch last week and he has quite a few boats that I am very familiar with. One being the original 335. When anyone asks me what my favorite test boat was, I dont hesitate to say the 335. It was fast for a sport cruiser, handled like an Outlaw, and had all the amenities of a 405.
This photoshoot was done in Miami. Lacey, the girl in the pic is a Miami Dolphins cheerleader and unbelievably cool! I was down in the cuddy looking out the port windows when this picture was taken (turns out I wasnt good looking enough to be in the pics!:drink:) http://www.bajamarine.com/images/08w...ce_800x600.jpg |
Ok, I totally got off track there. This thread was meant for another boat, but I saw the 335 and my mind wandered......
Anyway, they have a blank 30 Outlaw, and I started thinking about Dock Holidays 500s for sale................Hmmmm! :eureka: http://dealer.sold.com/moredetails.h...hoiceboatslink http://images.traderonline.com//img/...94224725_2.jpg |
God why am I not rich. Oh yea I live in Ohio.

I believe I was on that same photo boat at Kelly's when JR was driving it around Lake Erie some time when it was a 315 and still under development. I remember it having that blue carpet that didn't match. |
The 335 is probably still motor-less too then. The 335, that 35, and a 30 all got stripped at the end of Baja. I know they were out of the 335 in under 3 hrs one Friday morning. :drink: The 500s would be nice in it, too.

Is that the same 335 that the outdrive took a crap on at the Lake Erie poker run?
What is the deal with these boats? |

While the 30 looks very nice I don't find that price to be a good deal at all if you need engines, exhaust, transom assemblies, steering and outdrives.
By the time you are done you will have at least $46,500.00 more in it with my 500's at $15k for the pair and if you went with new power you will be way over that figure. You could knock off around $10K if you could rig it yourself but most cannot. A lot of work and in the end a lot of money. Just my 2 cents |

I about fell out of my chair when I saw those prices until I saw some didn't have motors.
