Oh man! Winter upgrades again!

Getting new stuff for the boat! I'm so excited!
Got new wheels & tires for the trailer today, new electric brakes all the way around, new paint for the trailer.
Getting a new dash, new gauges, some more LEDs.
Got some new (double secret stuff) :evilb:

Nope, but I may have some power for your Slowgarette.

Jason,

Trailer brakes and wheels won't make that puppy any faster.

Moses 01-08-2009 07:45 PM

It will make it look at least 10mph faster while towing!:drink:

Smitty 01-09-2009 06:46 AM

It has been a new boat for longer than a week. It is winter. Gotta keep busy somehow.
Think of this step as a step to get the new boat.

What kind of dash and guages..Totally new layout or just upgraded? Not much room on the 29OL dash.

Cant wait to hear the rest.......Double secret means it takes 2 of the items when you have twins :evilb:

JasonSmith 01-09-2009 10:16 AM

I have some red & black carbon fiber/kevlar weave that I'm doing the dash & all associated panels in & the stupid in me is going to do the tread plate steps on my trailer the same way. They will be slick because they will be flat, but you aren't supposed to step on the trailer anyway. Aesthetics outweigh functionality in my book.
And, yes the double secret stuff will indeed be almost as fun as what I have for power now.
Like old man Jay (Never Enough) I'm getting older so I'm gonna slow down a bit.

never enuff 01-09-2009 11:07 AM

Damn, the dump business must be good!! If your mind slowed down to the same speed as your boat you'd have lots more money saved!!!!!

Diesels !!

JaayTeee 01-09-2009 05:32 PM

In about 10 days, the 1075SCi's, # 6 drives
w/ CNC 5 blades should be arriving, as well as the free gas
and no more mortage payments:rolleyes::D

....if that somehow doesn't happen, I'll start
beating on those old worn out 575's that
I took out ( seems like) months ago.

Baja Man,

We also rebuilt a 1990 Baja 190 Islander that turned-out great! That model uses the same hull design as your 204, but with the open bow design. I need to upgrade my OSO membership, and start a new thread on that project?

Dave,

The 190 looks BRAND NEW! That is a great boat and if I remember right didn't you add a few horsepower also?

We installed a 2005 V-6 Baja "test motor" that only had about 30 hours on it. The best thing was getting power steering with the newer motor.
