Baja Outlaw swim deck paint code??? HELP!!!
 

Hey guys, I have a 1998 25 Outlaw SST. I want to repaint the swim deck. It is the tubular platform. I am looking for the paint code for it. It looks like maybe a pear purple? I cant seem to find a paint code for the life of me. I have tried Fountain and other Baja Dealers and either they truly don’t know what it is or they are being *****s about, not sure which. Any help would be a awesome.

Spectrum will have the gelcoat color information, but I would not be sure if that will help in paint, or powdercoat? Call Kustom Kolors, or PM him here on the boards. He has painted many Baja platforms over the years, even production for awhile. If he cannot help you, call Larry @ Extreme Marine.

I bought a Baja swim platform off ebay year before last and was told it was powercoated by the local paint shop. They would "NOT" paint over it. I had it chemically stripped down and power coated.

Personally I would not use the factory colors they are pretty dull in my opinion. If you have a good power coater in your area they will prep it and they can lay down a base color, then go over it with a candy translusent and clear. It will look 1000 times better than the factory finish.

Biran, I am pretty sure I told you everything you needed to know how to repair the swim deck, plus I even offered advise to take the platform to my powder coat shop! Not sure how I could have helped more.....

sherwin williams store lookup up kustom colors under fleets,,,,and put in baja,,,worked for me

I have mine off right now and it's getting sand blasted and repowered coated. It's not paint, but you might find some that is close if you just need a touch up.
