Bomar Hatch Trim???

XT can I get these for the 302 still? I looked on Bomar's site and they have 100's of hatches listed, but all by # they even have some OEM (no longer being used) hatches at discounted prices, but I have no idea what part # I have. Anyway I'm wondering if I can still get the interior trim pieces for these hatches. Mine have gotten really yellow and brittle for whatever reason.

XT-Innovator 06-17-2009 09:27 AM

IT,

I have a request in with Bomar to provide me with all the part numbers that Baja purchased for the same reason. If only Sea Ray would allow me to access the files that had at Baja....everything would be great! It sucks to have to rely on memory only.....

I will see what I can find.

I need this as well, for a 99 252 boss, and a screen if i can find one

jfm 06-18-2009 07:50 PM

I have an account with Bomar and I am sure that they still have them. I just order 2 hatches, screens and trim rings for a 25 outlaw and they had them. Took me 3 weeks to get, but still got them. Problem is getting the part #'s

Would the part#'s be on the trim panels themselves?

Do you know what the part #'s are for the 25 outlaw, I actually need that stuff and had no clue of how to get the numbers.

Irish I have never seen a part # on them. I found the # by calling a baja dealer and getting the baja # and then with there help and Bomars I was able to get the real part #. Hope this helps

Irishtornado 06-20-2009 01:44 AM

I guess if XT can't come up with anything I'll contact Hawkeye see if I can get a Baja part# then go from there...Man this is just going to be a pain for us old Baja owners now that basically everything is gone.

jetheadracer 06-20-2009 04:14 PM

Nice thanks for the part #'s

mittens 06-22-2009 12:22 AM

part number for hatch, trim reing and screen? for a 99 252?

Irishtornado 07-06-2009 09:41 AM

Any luck on this XT?

Irishtornado 11-08-2009 12:40 PM

Still am looking for this XT if you've had any luck.

jfm 11-08-2009 05:11 PM

Hey Irish, have you called Bomar and asked them? I think they made them. The staff is usually pretty helpful and even if you had to email them pics they may be able to help getting a part # at least

Irishtornado 11-08-2009 06:03 PM

No, but I will cause mine are yellowing and cracking...

jfm 11-08-2009 06:15 PM

Are they the d shaped or pear shaped?

For some reason I have not had any luck with Bomar Marine on anything. Are you still going to bring the boat down to Kevin Brown this fall?

XT

Irishtornado 11-09-2009 01:29 PM

Not 100% on that yet, but if it's not this fall it will be in the spring. I've ran into some issues that need taken care of before the boat.

jfm 11-09-2009 03:27 PM

Is this one of them Dave? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOMAR...ht_1755wt_1167

Come-on, your both wrong on this one! That is the Baja 342 hatch, but it was also used on the 442, and late model 320's.

The 302 hatch is the same as the rear set of 38 Special hatches, and the 335 is the same as the 275, and 405. The 278 was a new design, but not many were produced.

Dave who made the hatches for the 38 Special and the 302?

jvcobra 03-03-2010 07:50 AM

I could use the trim too, and maybe a whole hatch. It just won't look right next to my brand new XT interior. Come on Dave use your powers to get us some part numbers :)

Joe,

The Hatches were made by Spartech Marine who is no longer fabricating anything, and the early molded trim was made by the same company that makes the glove box liners. If the molded trim rings accept the screen options, they were made by Bomar Marine, but I don't have access to the part numbers any longer.

Understand, thanks for trying. I'll just have to clean up what I have. Didn't you say someone bought up the molds from Spartech or was I thinking of another company?

let me know if you figure out how to get one, I need one and a screen

bluefox70 05-21-2010 12:54 PM

25 outlaw hatch screens??

So, Has anybody found these anywhere? I lost my screens during a move. Lucky for me, my wife reminds me everytime a mosquito enters the friggin' boat.

Irishtornado 05-21-2010 05:31 PM

I'll get back to working on these trim pieces as soon as I figure out everything else I got going on.

Guy is looking for 38 Special hatch trim on BBO if you figured out how to acquire it. I'm also still interested.

He's got the manufacturer and part# listed
