I hate to throw it away, I guess i may take it apart and see what happens, it still lifts strong.

I have same issue with one side. It doesn't sound like gravel just has a sort of squeek/squeel noise.

You added the grease....did not read well enough.

Good luck |
Get rid of the electrical actuator and replace it with the new hydraulic actuator!
Electric engine hatch actuators are a hassle and like to fail. You will be much happier with a hydraulic actuator, the old days they would use a drive ram. But there is a company out there that sells the whole new kit now. Jump 26 Transportation Services |

Don't know about the hydraulic ones, but I put the relays in my hatch circuit year before last, and it goes up so fast it's unbelievable.

I agree as I purchased one myself. I have not installed it yet but it has twice the capacity as the electric actuators. They are more expensive but I hope it will be worth the price. Faster, smoother and stronger.

I have a 2002 Sundancer 320. Opening the hatch sounds like grinding rocks. Where did you purchase it? How much do they cost? Are they difficult to replace? I can do it myself?????
