Very cool!!!
We have the old 33 Poker Run boat with 500efis here in town. Also, the green Grand Prix 342 sat at Big Thunder forever!! |
I remember the first 2.............

Cool pics! Is the second pic of a stepped hull Baja?

Yes. That's the poker run boat from back in 97' Triple 800SC's. The middle engine exhausted out the side, man was it loud. |
Was the boat 40'? That thing looks sweet.

I like the Wette Vette. What model was used for that one?
|
I've got an old Hot Boat somewhere that has the article on the Wette Vette. I think it was a Baja Bandit???
|
223 Bandit.
|
I thought I had an old Popular Mechanics magazine with that boat in it.

It was a 420, so it was 42'.
Actually, it probably was closer to 40', they lopped off the molded swim platform (that the 420 had) |

I dont know how many of those were made. but there is a guy here local in my pool of the mississippi with that exact boat. someone said he used to own a baja dealer. anyways, i will get some pictures if i can of it in action. i have seen it out only once this year though.
Thats the only one made. The guy who owns it lives in Low Moor. He use to have a satellite store down there for Hawkeye Boat Sales. |
Mike Ohrt owns it, mikes body shop in Low Moore, its for sale. Total redo on interior, and yes loud azz, got tired of tickets and hassle at loto so he sold house and left area. Mike is a great guy and has done alot of work on several of my friends boats as well as mine over the years.
