Old thread revived since props have been discussed. :)

Finally got to try different props. Took the 3 bladed SS 19" QS's off and tried the new Merc Alpha4 4 bladed alum props. Tried 18" at 1st. Seemed to have a lot of slip and lost a lot of top end. So ordered the same in 20". Across the board they seem very good. Time to plain is great and boat runs real flat now. Just down 3 mph from the QS props. Docking control 100% better. Main goal here. The 4 blades run best with almost no trim for best handling and speed. I think I was trimming too much with the 18", ( about same as i had to run the 3 blades)thus poor performance. Now that I have the feel for the trim with 4 blades, going to pick up some 18's again this winter to unload the drives a bit.

easiest way is to post them on a hosting site like photobucket.com then link them to your post here.

Good afternoon, I just found this thread and thanks for the good info. I have a 93 290 EC that is in very nice shape. We keep it near LA and have been learning about ocean boating recently and getting used to the boat. I do have a few questions and any advice is appreciated.
1. Does the shower drain drain through the sump pump?
2. How do you access the sump pump?
3. What is the single most important tip/advice you can offer for this boat?
Thanks, Brian

Shower drains into shower sump box.

Located under center cushion of aft cabin.

Don't forget drain plug. Other than that, enjoy.

Anything else, ask away. May take some time for a reply since I'm not here much anymore.
