25 O/L's have somewhat of notched transom....it's
not as large as it is on the 30, but it still
is notched.

I never saw any real benefit from that baby notch that was added to the 25 Outlaw hull. The prototype 25 ol never had one, and 272's/275's with the same bottom design run just as well. It was more of a "gimmick" thing like the long notches in the chines that we called "speed rails". They only look like we stepped the hull, and are really out of the water completely at speed. Any hull 26' and shorter (IMO) do not need steps, or notches because so little surface is in contact with the water at higher speeds.

Your best bet is flat surfaces, and sharp edges period!

Default 2009 26 Outlaw

I have a 2009 26 Outlaw. Tops out at 64 mph, ride is great. We ran it fast in 3-4 chop on Lake Michigan, feels real solid, no rattles.
