Also - as you designed it, Dove (grey) is your #4 color. My experience with Bajas that have grey as a predominant color in the graphics is that from more than 30 feet away, it can barely be seen and depending on the graphic package, it can end up looking out of balance and "lopsided" since a significant part of the graphics apear to be "missing". IMHO

If you can live with the colors get more $$ off. Otherwise I would have them rebuild and expedite with a discount or offer to go to another builder...

Just did the Baja Design studio and checked out both combos. While the one the "messed up" looks nice, I like the way you ordered it better!! Not sure how I would do it personaly, but who cares I'm not buying it:D
Good luck in your desision, I would love to have either:D

Thank for all you comments!
I told the dealer I wanted the Boat as built with $3,000 off the price or cancel the order. He’s going to call the factory and get back to me today.

Boss I graphics Color 1=White 2=Black 3=Dove 4=Red.
The only remaining Issue for me is the Baja Logo. Should I go with the Dove or Red?

Go with gray on the Baja Decal. Did they offer you black as a choice for the decal. The only choices I had for the Baja decal was red or black.

bcoffield 04-12-2002 10:02 AM

The Choices are Blue, Red, Purple, Grey (Dove) and yellow.

What does the yellow look like on that graphic? That might be alright.

The graphics with the Yellow Logo. I'm think grey Logo.

The good part about the logo is it a decal and can be changed.

bcoffield,

Sorry to hear that. I have a new 36 Outlaw being built right now for delivery next month and I made it clear to the dealer that it had better come in correct. But there is no garantee.

It is too dad the dealer has not already received the boat. My dealer got a boat in a while back that was for another dealer, and the other dealer got his boat. North Carolina and Texas dealers.

Bottom line is that the boat that came into my dealer had $3500.00 more in options and the customer liked it better than what he has ordered. It was also a 232 and he got to keep the boat received with the additional options and received $2800 more off the price. A very sweet deal for the customer. This was just told to be last week by the dealer. It was going to cost Baja a lot to correct the problem anyway.

Hope it helps. You are in the drivers seat. If you did not want the boat because of the colors once you saw it, they would not return your upfront money and would take you to court because of the contract. They should be held to the same. Everyone makes mistakes, and as a company owner I find it is much easier to take the lose and keep the customer happy.

If you can live with the colors, make them an offer within reaason. I bet they will accept.

I bought a new Baja a little while back and took the boat they had on the lot and saved some cash, if color is important get a different boat, if color is not the most important thing to you get some cash back, hell if you could get 3000 that would be half on a supercharger setup! after you run that boat a while you will wont to go faster! think about it! both colors look good, its you decision
