Your Opinion Counts! Should I Buy This Baja?

Hello guys, Im new to the forum. Im looking to buy my first boat. This looks like a good deal on a BAHA Outlaw. Looks like it has a little dock rash in the front, but I hear Lakeway Boat Repair can fix it. It may need a new steering wheel and battery tray, but other than that I think its ready to go. What do you guys think? I think the dock lines are included, so thats a bonus!

Team i think it has your name written all over it i just wonder if anyone died in that thing they were definately sore for a while at the price it was earlier i bet you could strip it and sell it for parts and make some decent money on it providing the engine and drive isnt junk

JaayTeee 02-19-2010 05:08 PM

Looks ok to me.

Any cracks in the liner?;)

Looks like some surface scratches should buff right out, I think that is a new style steering wheel...Reggie designed it

Baja_man 02-19-2010 06:37 PM

And still want to protect the bottom by putting it on tires?

TWIN-SPINS 02-19-2010 06:52 PM

put in a rubber bladder filled with air and use it:drink:

Irishtornado 02-19-2010 07:22 PM

By the looks of those bolsters it was a sudden stop!!! I think Kevin could fix it right up for you...I'm sure XT could fix the interior..

Does anyone know if N Y titles boats?? Or would other states that do title boats just do it from the bill of sale???

cpiefer06 02-19-2010 09:10 PM

Ya know that boat on a beach is my background on my pc... Wonder how much it would cost to fix something like that?

Boat with a kickstand. Cool.

Greg, Why wouldn't you? The radio still looks to be good along with the exhaust tips.

I thought that was the photo boat we used down in Sanibel, but the photo boat had deck hatches.

I believe that three (3) people died when it hit a pier at night. Driver had some bruises but he is sitting in state prison now doing 5-8. Convicted of driving while intoxicated. Survivors family are seeking $$$$ from the state and county for poor lighting on pier.

The photo boat did have deck hatches I just looked again at me background. Good catch. But seriously roughly what kind of cost would someone be looking at to fix that? I am only curious because I would think it is hurt bad.

That thing would be fine for 80% of what some
of us use our boats for:drink:, although we may have
to improvise on a place to tie front lines and an anchor
rope

Now it seems the lawsuits will happen...I guess one family feels they're loved one was only worth $5million to them...I don't know about any of you, but my family members are priceless to me..these lawsuits seem like blood money in my eyes.

Does anyone know how much this boat finally sold for, and what part of the country it went to?
