More Hammer Issues...

Trying to remove the pads on the sides of the cockpit, the wood behind them is rotted, so I was going to get them reupholstered along with my sunpad before summer gets here...I can't figure out how to remove them. I haven't looked very hard, but I'd like to know before I even jump in and tackle it.

Thanks!

there are bolts behind them that hold them to the boat i think

Lay on your back on the floor and look up from underneath you'll see the studs that hold it on.

I'm sure they're SUPER easy and convenient to get to also...

Yea, after I made this, I decided "issues" wasn't the best wording...

But, I have the same problem, most likely I'll be hammered before tackling this job. Where in Plano are you at? I work at Plano Pkwy and Jupiter.

I'd love to just drop it off, but I try to save where I can so I have more money for gas! Some family friends own an upholstery shop here locally so I figure I'd just pull it off and take it to them for the best deal possible. If this side panel turns out good maybe I'll let them take a stab at the sun pad.

Good to hear! Like I said I haven't really taken the time to look, but that is good news...maybe I can work on trying to get a new tach through Fountain in my spare time instead of jackin' with upholstery

Grew up in Garland, live on the West side of Plano, Preston/Spring Creek, work and keep the boat in Wylie. I pass by you all the time. We hit Lavon after work pretty regular, come on out.
