29 OL Fairing/Windscreen
I tried tagging this on one of the fairing posts but didn't get any response so sorry if it is a duplicate.
Does anyone have any leads on a 29 OL Fairing? The one on the 29 I am buying is cracked from top to bottom. I have talked to a few friends about attempting to repair it and paint it...but just in case I need a backup plan. I talked to the guys in my body shop and they have never messed with repairing something of this material. Thanks, MR BAJA |
Congrats on the new boat. I had a customer with an H2x windscreen broken in half that had a local guy here weld it back together & paint it. It looked pretty good and I think it was only 2-3 hundred. I can check into it for you if you decide to go that route.

Thanks Dave.... If anything let me know what to use... My bodyshop at work hasn't really worked with acrylic stuff before...

I bought a new one from Baja a few years ago for $1400... That was painful.

Yeah, I'm sure that was painful!
Jim...if you can find out what he used that would be greatly appreciated. Mine is split from top to bottom in front of the compass. It has not seperated that I know of and all the pix I have seen of it are intact. Looks like someone by accident stepped on it or pulled on it somehow. I plan on fixing it and then having it painted, just my "OCD" of having that crack there is already bothering me and I haven't even picked it up yet.... Thanks for all the info guys. :coolcowboy: |

My 2000 29ol came with the clear windscreen stock, and I purchased a lightly smoked colored one from a Doug Smith edition leftover stock item. I sold the boat after putting the clear one back on, and the smoked one sits in my basement. Hey, I am richer than I thought? XT :party-smiley-004: |

Well if it cheers you up $1,400.00 is probably the down payment for one now?
