25 Outlaw windscreen paint

I have a 25 Outlaw and the paint under the bottom half of my windscreen its getting a little rough. It looks like just flat white paint. Has anyone ever re-painted there windscreen? It looks like you could just remove the windscreen, mask it off an shoot it. Sugestions???

+1

I've got a few places on my windscreen that could stand a touch up. Any particular brand of rattle cans better than others?

I believe you have "Ice White". IrishTornado will chip in here, he seems pretty familiar with the colors Baja used. You can try cross referencing the Gelcoat color code to a Paint code of PPG, DuPont or BASF.

Thanks Scott... Yeah, I am familiar with the gel-coat colors (Ice white, Sublime, Brilliant blue etc...)...just wasn't sure bout the actual "paint"...for example is the bow rail "ice white" paint or another color.... I'd assume that the bow rail etc would be the color of the fairing....no?

Thanks guys. This is kind of what I figured. I think mine is a flat white paint on the back side of the windscreen / faring.

The white gel coat on my 98 25 outlaw is Artic White, but almost positive the windscreen is flat white. I could be wrong. I will look when I am go to my shop tonight.

the color is nothing special just buy white. we have never had a problem repairing them if your really worried you can wipe the original paint off with enamel reducer and start over just make sure you check to make sure you have no streaks before you start spraying new color on. if you choose to wipe it all off shoot some adhesion promoter first then paint. you can find it at any parts store
