Stock Exhaust
We are looking to change out the stock Corsa exhaust tips on our 2004 36 Outlaw with 496's. The stock tips are not loud enough. What tips should we go with? How big of a project is this? I did a search, but most of the posts are rather dated. Any help is appreciated.

I put Eddie marine tips on mine. It's not a hard job at all. It definetly made a big difference in sound. I would definetly do it.

Otherwise I just saw some tips that Irish got from Hardin. Nice looking tip that you can use the slip in silencers on. I don't think he spent a lot on them. I think mine are Eddie Marine tips, again if it is 4" exhaust any 4" tip will work. |
Has anyone used these tips?
http://www.danamarineproducts.com/Pr...b-0d352a2e415b Would these work in our application? |
They should do the trick.

I prefer these by IMCO.

I think if you buy the tips from Eddie, the flange on the new tips will not use the same holes as the Corsa tips. You will have to fill the old holes and drill new ones.

i want mine to be louder too, but i can not see any type of silencer in the stock ones.

Corsa makes some very nice unmuffled tips with a clamshell internal flapper....much less clanging than most brands. That's what I'd go with and they're reasonably priced. It's an easy job; even I could do it. It's also a good opportunity to do a better job of sealing the wood in the holes than they did at the factory. |
