Horn problem

My horn does not work. I pulled off the plastic cover. Is there screws to pull out the horn. Do the horns usually go bad. My boat is a 232 Baja 1998 model. What is my next procedure to fix the horn. Thanks

Yep, it is probably bad. Mechanical horns with moving parts lock-up over time. PM me and I can get you a replacement horn with white cover. $50.00

Every Baja I have owned so far has needed the horns replaced, but usually i replace just the the horn part and not the plastic pieces, its about half the price.

Do you recall number or where you purchased from?

It's the same horn.

I gave up on getting mine to work long ago. replaced horns, switch, etc. to no avail.
So I went to AutoZone and bought a couple of MUCH bigger horns, mounted them behind the side engine vents, ran a couple of wires to the switch, and all is well again.

I can't get them to last more than a year or two. I don't think they like salt water baths.

I bought it off ebay, just search for AFI HIDDEN MINI COMPACT HORN - MODEL L or similar, there should be a part number you can search on also, something like 10031. Got 2 for less than 30 delivered.
