Current Baja line... coming to Grand Sport Center?

Baja has been courting Grand Sport Center with talks of possibly taking on the Baja line once again! Exciting stuff, curious what everyone thinks about that.

We're looking forward to an excellent season, already underway!

Best regards, have a safe weekend and a great Father's Day weekend. :boat:

If the prices are in line I would buy another.

Reggie still runs the place, that kills it for me. Its not a Baja by Baja while he is there. They have no passion for the boats, just your money.

Reggie is just a figurehead now. The lawyers/investors control it and all decisions.

I do not see what difference it makes who runs the place. If you have a good relationship with the builder and they make/support a good product, should be a win/win situation.

Some of the old timers may not be looking to buy a new Baja, but when this poor economy improves, there will be new and current boaters looking to buy.

Only drawback might be if you are competing with Shogren.

I found that interesting as well. Grand Sport was a long time Baja dealer, then Fountain takes over and gives it to Shogren, correct? Now, check out Shogrens website and it only shows Nortech, Sunsation and Fountain (and Baja clothing on closeout). Last I checked Shogren was trying to sell off the remaining Bajas by Fountain anyway possible: with or without power. Interesting indeed.

I would guess that the new "owners/investors" see and read the same things we are saying. Doesnt look like they are Baja by Fountain by their logo. Baja Marine is back on line and the old logos are being printed on shirts and hats. The more things change the more they stay the same..

Would Blane A. be your Rep? He could do more good for the Baja line than anyone else that I know. If you become a dealer, make them go back to gelcoat graphics, and offer entry level models again. Oh, and reduce the profit margin!

If everything is right I say go for it. It would be great to have Baja back and well represented again.

Gool luck hope it works out for you.
