It almost looks like this one, but it has black flags in the graphics!

I will let someone else tell the story of who put this one on the rocks?

XT

Glad its not that one! But must admit the one i am buying does need some work, but should have it looking good quite quick.

Foam, carpet, vinyl, fabrics, or any hardware that is still available. Just let me know?

Cheers XT, thanks for your help so far, if you could pm the price of the front vee cushions and cockpit cover.

Also a bit of advice... i have a pair of 502 mpi gen 6s to go in the baja, they have had a ground up rebuld inc, fully balance, bored out '40 with had everything done the machine shop internally, also new wisco pistons, a wilder cam edlebrook marine heads, fuel regulators and new roller rock gear too. with these engines i was wondering if it maybe worth running with imco extention boxes and bravo with imco 2" shorties which i have from my old boat, any thoughts!? the boat coming over has the standard drives with it

Congratulations on the new boat and welcome to the Baja family. I have been to Brighton several times.... LOVED it! Miss going overseas lately.

Looks like that boat in the picture had test props. I wonder what the story is on those pictures?

sonic69 06-22-2010 10:21 PM

Another one of Greg's test drives huh.:party-smiley-004:

That is the right location, and it was a Baja test driver that made the mistake!

TWIN-SPINS 06-23-2010 07:30 PM

Ebay Ed 06-23-2010 10:26 PM

Everything was going well, then Dave was teasing me, standing on the rocks holding up a couple of Coors Lights.

Kustom Kolors 06-23-2010 10:54 PM

I think I painted 5 drives for that boat

Ebay Ed 06-24-2010 04:52 AM

did you get one of the coors lights at least

sonic69 06-24-2010 07:03 AM

I'd hate to see what you'd do for a case.

The best part of that whole ordeal was watching Bill R. running around trying to cover-up everything, and the Bucyrus Mayor (that did not like him) giving him a very hard time about it. Talk about seeing someone shi.....tting razor blades! It was great.

Dave,
Are you shure thats not a 40 ?

Looking at how far the vents go back make it look like a 40

In fact, Hawkeye had a 40 with those same graphics
purple drives and boxes too.

500efi's, decolite and team baja cabin as I recall.

Yea, it was a 40ol and I probably should not have hijacked the original thread, with those photos. It may have been AJ's boat that was damaged, and that is why BR was so worried because he was afraid of AJ? Surprisingly there was not that much damage done to the hull (only gelcoat scrapes) and one drive was replaced. Shows you how tough the Baja lamination was then....

think you should of bought a local 272 with reliability charlie boy

charlie boy 06-24-2010 04:01 PM

I might have brought that 272, but the guy that owns has it up for sale but, for some reason never wants to sell when comes to the numbers he also says the don t like powerboating with a boat like that!!... I have seen him down the quay sometimes after a few beers and he's a different
Person, tells my all his powerboating tales and how much he loves boating! Bit of a weirdo really hence why I didn't buy that 272, plus want to move up the ladder, you can't beat twin engines
