Need your advice guys
 

Id like to change my engine oil and outdrive oil for a up coming trip what do you guys reccommend....2001 baja 232 6.2 377ci 320 horse and a bravo one.....thanks

Fluids seem to be one of the highest debated items on the board...

I use Royal Purple 75w90 synthetic gear lube and Mobil One 20w50 full synthetic oil in my ride.

Ditto on the Mobil One 20w50 full syn. It is usually easy to find at Walmart or auto parts stores.

For the Bravo 1 or Bravo 1 X, Merc says you must use the Mercruiser High Performance gear lube. ( vs their "Premium" lube used in the Alpha drives).

Reading some literature about the High Performance lube online, Merc says "DO NOT mix with Mercury Premium Gear Lube"

I am unaware of the differences between the two, or the difference between Merc High Performance gear lube that Merc says to use, and the Royal Purple products.
