How hard is it to remove the windsheild on a 272?

I want to fill some of the routed out holes in or add bigger screws to tighten the windsheild back up. Has any one removed their windsheild before?

Sure have...Take off the rubber trim piece the screws are behind it.

Yep, it's simple. In addition to what Irish said, I think there's a couple of screws you have to remove that connect the side glass to the front glass.

You can actually take it off in 3 pieces...The center flip glass and the 2 sides...There's the support stands in the middle, but those screws are obvious.

Thanks guys... I was hoping it was something I could start and finish in a couple days. Sounds like it is!

bolt her down

I would suggest bolting your windshield down, if you are having problems with the winshield coming loose i would suggest three bolts down the side and three bolts across the front, with nylock nuts, then you will never have to mess with it again.
Good luck:drink:

The boat is a 95 so my plan is to bolt is back down. Just wanted to verify how hard it is to remove. Now that I know it's simple I will proceed with making it solid again.

You will have a hardtime bolting it down through the hull without removing all your interior...I bet you find alot of your screws are loose when you take that rubber trim seal out.

Got that covered Irishtornado but thank for the heads up!
