I have a purple one that is partly sand blasted. My sandblast guy said the loose stuff came off easy, but the rest needs to be heated with a tourch to finish the job. No ladder bracket on this 99' style. $450.00 if you pick-up.

I used a chemical stripper from Home Depot to strip about 90% of the powder coat off one I got from JR on ebay. Brushed on and bubbled off, if I would have hit it with a pressure washer when it was still bubbled the reset probably would have come off too.
