33 Outlaw swim platform removal

Guys I'm getting ready to powdercoat my swim platform..So I need to remove it, and I am wondering what I am going to run into trying to get it off the transom...what can you suggest for me to bring as far as tools and things...? I am guessing/hoping the bolts are like laggs, and will just pull out using an air impact..will I have any surprises!

thank you!

I fairly shure the top bolts are thru bolted, but I know the
bottom one's are lagged.

YEP!

Hey, a big tree (maybe) to wrap a tow strap around & to the platform, as your pull the boat with your pickup to break the seal.....

I took all of the bolts out except a couple of the top through bolts, which I loosened way up, then hooked an engine hoist to the back of the platform and put a bit of upward pressure on it, jumped up and down on the platform a couple of times, and it came loose pretty easily.

Has anyone tried to put a spray on coat like Linex or Rhino on the platform?

Just make sure you don't use 5200 to put it back on.

I'm gonna just use some silicone sealant...

I was thinking on trying this on the old platform that I had. 3M even makes it in a spray can now....

Just seems like a perfect fit to me. The stuff doesn't fade, is near bullet proof, and is textured on its own, so no need for the tape.
