Top speed in a Hammer?
 

Can anyone tell me from personal experience or from what they have seen on the forum, what is the fastest Hammer anyone has seen? 68-70 on the speedo feels pretty good, and I feel she may do a little more with mods. I know they have the tendancy to chine walk, however you can usually drive thru that!:D

My 97 212 islander (same bottom as the hammer) w/ a 454 carbed and a raised x could touch 71-72 on the speed with me and the wife and light load of fuel. I had that boat tach about 4900 with a stock 23" mirage plus. Someone in my area ordered a 212 with a 502 mag and I always heard it would do somewhere in the low to mid 80's but walking all over the place. I bet that blown hammer of Brad Perry's is quite the ride.:D

I HAD A 97 HAMMER 502 CREATE MOTOR PROCHARGER 4.5 AND 7.5 BOOST. WOULD SPIN A 30 BRAVO THROUGH 1.5 GEARS AT 5100 NOSE CONE AND SHOWER. NEVER GPS BUT GUESED 80-82. SOLD THE BOAT AND GOT AN H2X.
