anything that makes power boating less in bred is a good thing.LOL

Too many companies working off eachothers old molds etc house brands and stepped lines.

Thats what did in the American car companies. Caddys buicks pontiacs olds and chevies all ahaving the same basic arcitechture.

It will surely kill off the japanese cars too when people start to realize that there lexus is a toyota and there infinity is a nissan.

Baja should have been a stand alone a long time ago.

Great to hear they are going to have a go at it. It will be a long road to recovery......

Found this under the Bajamarine web site. Same phone number as fountain, even though though they state only one year for the Fountain By Baja warranty.

No, there's definately not much work in Bucyrus. Alot of people took jobs at local factories in town, and alot of people drive to near by towns 20 to 45 mins away for work. I talk to a few here and there that went back to school. The truth is, there were not too many glamourous jobs at Baja. Not that they didnt like their jobs, but I cant see people selling their homes, and leaving friends and family behind to move to NC to get their lamination, or hole cut, or deck prep job or whatever back. Hell, not many people would disagree that I held the best title out there, and I really wouldnt even be interested in moving.

NO, then Chris who handles the Baja warranty @ Sea Ray will be calling me for the answers.....

Funny how we had a Customer Service/Warranty/Parts group of 12-15 people in 2008, and now it is one guy's "part time" job to handle, and he has never seen any of the Baja models in person. He can tell you anything that is in the computer records, and he has a nice collection of old brochures. (I still have a better collection)

Sounds like they're still going to be built at the fountain plant.

JT, don't be surprised if the facility in NC gets a name change also!

Good luck getting warranty work done on a 2009 model. That ship sunk shortly after the Baja ship sunk. Better off with a 2008 model with a 5 year hull warranty backed by SR. They only have 2-3 years left, before their hands are totally clean.

I bought my holdover 2008 Spring of 2010. Wouldn't I have the full 5 year warranty? So through 2015?

Yes, 5 years from the date of retail sale if the dealer sent in the paperwork correctly after the sale. There was a few times when I worked Baja Customer Service that I had to contact dealers because the customer wanted to start the warranty period.

Note: you can also transfer any remaining warranty on a used (Baja by Sea Ray) by contacting SR Customer Service with a bill of sale copy, and the HIN number for a fee of $50.00. Worth checking into on a used Baja....
