Quote: Yes, 5 years from the date of retail sale if the dealer sent in the paperwork correctly after the sale. There was a few times when I worked Baja Customer Service that I had to contact dealers because the customer wanted to start the warranty period.

Note: you can also transfer any remaining warranty on a used (Baja by Sea Ray) by contacting SR Customer Service with a bill of sale copy, and the HIN number for a fee of $50.00. Worth checking into on a used Baja....

I bought at Hawkeye so I assume they did, but how could I check to see?

I hope they do it right and have someone that cares about Baja and promotes it and has it built like it should be.

No problems with Hawkeye Boats. I had a couple dealers in California that were bad.

PM Box is cleared.

Good. The Baja by Fountain thing was stupid.

Also glad we picked up an '08 holdover. Just about all of our warranty issues were taken care of by Sea Ray (only the small crack in the windscreen and the bubbling of the paint on the vent covers were rejected).

Has it built like it should? A Baja has never been built as well as when Fountain built them.

Fountains
You do know there is a reason why baja came to reggie Fountain and asked him to help them ...so he must know somthing about what he's doing.

Nobody at Baja even knew about the deal until it was done.

Don't forget that Fountain became Mercury power (only) after the deal! Remember this from 2006 http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...-fountain.html
The Ilmor race boat did pretty good too, if I remember correctly?
