Cabin lights
Anyone know if or where you can get colored LED bulbs for the cabin lights? I want to get some red ones to twinkle off my disco ball.:evilb:
Pretty sure they are 12v 10w, but I don't know the bulb size - MR11? MR16? My boat is where I cannot get to it for the winter. Slow day at work so I thought I'd blow some $$$ Here are the lights http://www.rvparts.com/product-89-8050064R |
Nevermind. I found them.
G4 if anyone cares. Now to find some sweat shop in China to order them from. |
Do you have pictures i have a 2002 o/l would like to replace all with blue led ones b/c one of the oem bulbs is burnt out ? i see so many different types of g4?
|
mine are the white/ivory ones that the back of it turns a 1/4turn on and off looks like 1 tiny special bulb in it i wanted to getthem while in storage
|
MIne too would love some LED bulbs for them, use way less power!
white can lights, that swivel and the back/top turn on and off. |
i just went and looked at mine and they are the JC TYPE G4 BASE 12V 10W HALOGEN LIGHT BULB they have 2 long pins that stick out the back of the bulb the thickness of a paper clip it looks like we can get some of the led tower ones that have like 10 leds all on one
|
|
so what LED bulb you think is going to work?

theres jsut so many i see the tower ones are not as bright as some of the flat ones that are 120 lumens in blue |
i think im going to get either this one in blue flat http://www.sailboatstuff.com/images/IM-ILBPG4-10WLG.jpg
http://www.sailboatstuff.com/lt_imtr...XBeamG4BackLED or the tower one like http://www.emarineinc.com/products/1...iTower%22.html seems like you can find them all day in white on ebay ect... id like to see if someone else has taken a pic of them on in their boat |
hmm red would match my cockpit lights.
but white would be better for actually seeing stuff. maybe 2 in one color and 2 in another, that way i can turn 2 off and make it red and then turn thsoe off and the others on and its white like normal? haha let me know if one fits and i will order some too. |

I don't remember which ones I ended up getting. I just took a truck load of stuff I've ordered over the winter out to the boat. Waiting for the weather to break so I can pull it out of storage and tinker. I can look next time im out there
|

Heading out this Weekend to get some measurements for XT. He's getting me new cockpit carpet!:evilb:
I'll get the bulb model#s too. |

Here's what I ended up doing. $18.95 each. Of the 6 of these lights, I did 4. I just wanted enough to give the cabin a red glow at night. I have red tubes in the cockpit. Wanted to keep the theme throughout.
