1" or 2" imco on 25ol
I was wondering if anyone is running a imco shortie on a 25ol with out ext boxes? Did it improve handling and speed or did it hurt it?
My boat is a 98 25ol with hp500, it has the notched transom. I will be changing cam and heads so motor will be close to 600hp. thanks |

look up wild card he pick up 4 or 5 mph with a 3'' raised box by imco back in 07 and in 08 he add a 2'' shortie but spaced down one 1'' in the end and went from a merc 525 at 81 to 87 or 89 with the 600 merc. I pick up a lot with just a 2'' shortie on my 24ol power was 670hp 83.2 before carb change it was 650hp went 76 and no shortie.

Yea, you need to know how deep your drive is in the water before anyone can give advice. Measure your propshaft centerline and report back.

Regardless, order a -2" and try it then spacer it down if it's not right, although it will be fine with -2".
