Are you sure it's the mpi 310hp????

Gps speeds or speedo?

Does it say 454 mag mpi on intake?? 385hp

Mine does? 65 on gps in perfect conditions.... 62 loaded in summer!

If 454mpi , can't do anything (cast internals)
454 mag , pro charger or whipple for over 70!!

unfortunatly you will never see 70 out of that motor, i had a hammer 21' with that same motor and it topped out around 68 but i had dana marine exhaust, k&n filter, which does basically nothing, and was able to spin a mirage plus 25p was going to procharge it but that motor is not forged internals, save your bucks to do a swap or leave it alone, i'm sure most will agree with this

yes it is the mpi 310 hp, and that was gps speed 55--57. and i think it has the stock 23p prop on it. how much would it be to switch to forged internals? Im sure at that point i would just be better to leave it alone, i want to upgrade in a year or so to a 29 or 30 ft outlaw but until then i guess im the slow guy LOL!!!

I have an Older 454EFI [1995] Any idea what kind of internals are in it? I am not looking to build a pile of HP, but, curious as to what kind of parts are in it

Thanks!
Michael

Michael unless it is a mag 385 hp it is cast internals but it is a 4 bolt block at least my old engine was according to the casting numbers

you would be better off pulling it out and selling it and find a 454 mag or 502 mag but if your only keeping it a year or so then i would def leave it alone, although resale may be a bit better with a mag motor in it
