Had a GPS speedo in my 2000 with the same power and ran around 62 turning stock B1 24's. Labbed 24's were just a little faster, but bounced the rev. limiter that I think was around 4650? 25p Mirage Plus run even faster, but they sucked on Lake Erie in large waves.

I sold a '99 last year with 7.4s. 62 on GPS (23" M+). Maybe touched 63 once. We really liked the boat.

I had a good friend with a 25ol with the 385 Mag. and he never passed my 29ol with 7.4 MPI's. Both boats ran close in top speed if he only had two people, or Lake Erie was flat, but if he had a boatload, or more than 3.5' of chop....it was see you later!

His wish-o-meter did show a nicer number than my 62 GPS number.

So I guess about 95% of boaters on the water are just wasting time out there?
