Late 90's Stringer and other Problems

Hello Baja owners. I am interested in purchasing a late 90's or early 2000's 22' to 25' Baja . Is there certain years that they improved the stringer and transom design to eliminate the wood "rot" problem. I am trying to decide between the hammer or outlaw or 232 model. Thanks for any advice.

Another new guy today, Welcome to the site !!!

All boats are prone to transom and stringer rot. I had to replace my transom last year, it was a huge project. Mine leaked through the trim tab screws. Take a rubber mallet with you and tap on the transom and stringers. You will get a hollow thud if there is a bad spot. Some of the fiberglass shops have a moisture meter, I have heard those work also.
