Im in the market for a 272 or 29ol. My question is, if i bought the 29ol can a windshield be installed? Looking for 00'-02' $20-$25k.

Man, you don't wanna do that. If you want a wind shield stick with the preformance series. I don't think your target budget is going to allow you to shop 00-02 29's anyway. JMO

If you want the windshield and twins go with a 302. JMO, but a 29 outlaw with a windshield would look like crap.

Well, i found a 01 fresh water 272 with the 496ho that I want to go with. I really only want a single engine. I have had a few 272's in the past so im pretty familer with them. I just not a fan on not having a windshield eaither. I was in fort laurdale and looked at a 01 272 502efi and found out why i do not want a salt water boat. Guess its fine if you maintain your stuff, but 50hrs later back in Chicago with no boat, lol. Looks like the Carolina's next week, lol.

I have a 1998 Boss 272 with a" New" 509 Procharged motor built by Shumacker Proformance, Only 80 hrs on motor and 312 on the hull. It has a new XR drive and Imco hydro steering.This is a fresh water boat from indy...And it is fast as hell...Used to be Indy whsl on this site...

In answer to your question the 29 O/L only came with a fairing.

The 272 could be bought either way.

At your price point you wont find a 2000+ 29 ol or 302. At least one worth owning.

290s have a windshield and can sometimes be found in that price range. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find any examples. Checked OSO, Ebay Motors and Boat Trader and couldnt find one anywhere.

I found a 01 272 496ho riptide graphics that is a very clean boat with 120hrs. I can be in the boat for high teens, but the catch is no trailer. So after a nice trailer, it should put me where i want to be. I decided i do not want a twin motor boat and windscreen. I just always liked the 272's anyway. I know there are many other powerboats out there for the money, but they all show there year. From 94-01 there the same boats minus the graphics. I feel they are the best modern looking powerboat for the money.

I just sold my 1996 Baja for 23,000, With 800 hrs on her, and no trailer. I would say it was a 6 out of 10 being best. It had a very tired 454 "carb" and original bravo drive. If i could buy 2001"s in the high teens with 120 hrs, I would quit my daytime job and go into the boat business....

Smurf, that is the boat that pacalim is talking about. It is one of the nicest 272's anywhere. It is a 98 but still only has less than 300hrs on the boat and the only hrs on the motor are the ones pacalim put on it.

No, it is a 1owner fresh water boat. Guess it is a buyers market for a boat right now. With no trailer it makes it tough tho, loadmaster and haritage is 3 weeks out.

Where? If this deal is legit, buy a new trailer for it. It's a no brainer. Have you actually seen this boat? Lots of scams on the net. Price seems too good to be true.

I have been talking to the person for some time now, and it is a legit deal. We are very close on price, but im going to probably have to give a little bit more. I have a budget just like everyone else. I have not seen it in person yet, pictures looks good though. So what would the boat be worth with new trailer?

Tough question to answer without seeing it or at least without alot more details. I would guess low to mid 30s.

I have a very nice Eagle trailer for sale. Custom fit for a 272 Baja. I keep my boat rack stored, And never use it.
