2001 Baja Outlaw 25 Exhaust

Hi everyone, haven't been on here for some time, but since summer is approaching I am thinking about doing something regarding my exhaust. Currently I have the Corsa Quick and Quiet 2 (a full time, non-switchable, thru-hull exhaust system that uses patented silencer Tips with a pair of upper exhaust splitters connected to the lower wishbone and the exhaust riser) and I want the switchable Corsa Quick and Quiet Plus (an electronically operated exhaust diverter used in conjunction with the same silencer Tips of the Quick & Quiet II system, but with the added flexibility to switch the exhaust flow to fully silenced, thru-prop operation. The switch is used to change the exhaust exits, either thru-prop or thru- hull, which will provide maximum performance or minimum exhaust sound.)
How difficult is this and will this cause any damage in the future? I want to be able to switch from quiet to loud when I want to. It is just too quiet now and I would love the "mean rumble" with the switch.

Any info or suggestions on what to do and how much does something like this costs? I have the 496 Mag (375HP) engine. The Cora Quick and Quiet 2 was an option from the manufacture and the original boat owner went with that option as he didn't want any noise (or limited noise) at all.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Nothing?

I believe you just need to find the "Y" componants that have the motors already attatched and then wire them in to one of the acc switches.

Am I reading your post wrong? It sounds like you want to have all three options. The external silencer tips you have now (quiet). Thru prop (silent) and thru hull (loud).

I may be wrong, but I think you need to replace your current tips with non baffled 4" tips and put in a system like mentioned above to have an "on or off" effect. I have heard of people that have hollowed out the "mufflers" and just had straight thru hull. I don't recommend doing this for fear of reversion unless you can at least put some external flappers on them.

If needed I have an extra used/working wiring harness from a 2000ish era 4 wire Corsa system (missing from the eBay listing assuming it's the same system). I thought I had a bad one last year. Turned out to be a bad ground.

Baja 302- I dont want all three options, just the option to switch from silent to louder (through hull).
Outlaw Brayant, I will PM you with my number.
Thanks for all the help and will update you with what I find if anyone else is looking at doing this.
Thanks

well i just went threw all this. I have a 02 baja outlaw 496ho with corsa quick quite 2 they already go threw the hull and down to the y pipe already they just dont have the diverters in them they are made so at low rpm most sound is coming out of thru hull pipes and as rpms increase they are supposed to be diverting more thru the drive.

ive been thru a rough time getting some for mine bc mine dont go striaght out from the risers the go back drop and then out. call offset down and in. they did this around 02 to catch another engines holes so i thought i got lucky buying a used kit that was just like mine with wiring harness and everything. should have been able to undo 3 hose clamps and drop in run wire to dash and been done.

well i got them and had them for 450$ shipped hell of a deal. he had the powder coating sanded off to either polish or re coat i paid 60$ to have them coated. when i took them apart i noticed the 2 orings on the rod that goes threw them were falling apart and would leak water out if i installed them. call corsa and u cant just buy new 5cent orings i got all new harware kits with butterflies , rods, bolts, orings ect... 160$ i hooked them up to power and they both pull closed but one releases called corsa and did some test and bad solenoid well they dont make the 4 wire solenoids anymore lol either get a new 3 wire upgraded one and hard wire it to my 4 wire harness and lose the 3 yr warranty or get 2 and have to buy a new elec harness well they are supposed to be ike 700$ for 2 new sol. and harness he did them for 350$ he said i should have spent $1100 and had them special make the ones i need so if anyone ever wants to try to get a deal on used ones ............ ;)

also i f you want your loud you have to take out the baffles out of yours or get some without mufflers. you can look threw mine and see all the way to the risers. mine is nice loud right where i want it. but i got the diverters to just hit the switch and divert it threw the prop. my kit stay open until you hit the switch

Lance, I still haven't pulled the plug on doing this, i was talking with another member here and he was going to sell me his that he took out of his baja, but i need to check my engine compartment to see if they match up correctly. I am debating whether I should do this or not. All the lakes around here and in NH are requiring no hull through exhaust and I just dont think it might be worth it. The Q and Q II still sounds good at startup since it is mostly going through the hull, just cant decide yet if i want to go through the trouble when i am not going to use it all that much. Do you think it was worth it for the money spent?
