Do not lower your price one bit. Remember banks are not giving loans to everyone anymore. And that boat is a great high performance boat that someone can pay cash or get a 5 year loan on. Also for this economy it's "fairly" good on gas. That boat is prime real-estate right now. Its fiberglass with a nice gel coat that can be buffed up nice. As long as the interior is good there's no reason to lower your price. If any thing higher it. People are not buying brand new boats there rehabing the classics and your boat is like the 69 Camaro of the water. *just my opinion*

Take some more photos and get rid of that first one that makes the boat look 12' long. Put the year in the ad. List top speed as 70mph, not about 65-70. Consider using pics of it actually in the water. I don't like pictures of boat sitting in dirt. JMO

Remember the nada they sent you does not have your engine and drive package, but it does show you are on the high side. I too, do not believe a stereo makes a boat worth more. Good luck selling. This is the time of year!

And Craigs List is a crap shoot, Spend a few bucks and market your boat on a high traffic sight like Boat Trader. It works much better.

I have always had good luck selling on ebay. It is a cheap way to get a lot of traffic. You can write a book about it. Put up a ton of pictures. It cuts down on the tire kickers.

Thanks guys if it goes it goes if not I will keep it and it goes in here shortly to get a full vinyl wrap on it to update the outdated graphics, then I will get the interior redone shortly after. I figured it wouldnt add more with the stereo but is a nice feature you wouldnt have to add yourself. By the way the boat is a 92 figured it was alittle high but I see guys asking more for 88-90s bajas before the outlaws

Irishtornado 03-27-2011 10:18 AM

If it's a 92 your definitely over priced.

I see your classified on ebay.

Try running it as an auction. Start it out at $100 with a reserve. I have sold roughly 20 to 30 cars and boats on ebay and this method seems to work best. People like to bid them up rather than be the guy that makes that giant opening bid which is your asking price. Plus, you are advertising to the whole country, not just one little piece of craigslist.
