Bimini top
I'm sure this topic has been covered before, but a search of the site did not yield any finds.
I'm looking at buying a bimini top for our '97 232 Islander. I have a convertible top and it stores nicely under the engine hatch and would like to store the bimini in a similar manner. Naturally, the bimini frame is longer and I was hoping to store it with the poles extending back into the swim platform. The problem looks be to the width of the top itself with is too wide for the engine compartment. Anybody have actual measurements of their bimini top that would help is sizing or modifying mine? How does Baja store it? Thanks in advance. Mike |

Get an Anchorshade and be done with it. I use one on my 232 and it is great! It stores in a small bag, taking up virtually no space. |
How do the anchor shades hold up if there is some wind? I';ve heard it needs to be a pretty calm day to use one.

The Anchor Shades are very nice for floating, however, any strong winds or try running with them and you'll be buying a new one. I have a couple of friends with them and they have had to replace the frames do to wind.
