Carbon Monoxide Detector Going Off

In my OL 25, i have the Carbon Monoxide Detector that is mounted in the cabin on the starboard inside wall and i have not taken the boat out this year at all. I was outside this evening and I heard a beeping sound. Opened up the cover and the alarm was going off. The red light wasn't on, but the alarm was.
Anyone know if I have a bad detector or perhaps fumes in there? Very weird, never did that before. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Could it be a low battery warning? Some smoke detectors do that as well when the battery runs down reminding you to change it out.

I looked at the detector and there is no battery connected to it. It is hard wired. It stopped after I unplugged it and I know I need to get it hooked back up soon a I am taking the boat out memorial day. Any other thoughts?

Put it on the garage shelf. Problem solved!

Just a long shot, but mine has done that and it turned out my boat batteries were low. After we used the boat and everything was charged it stopped.

Low battery voltage will set it off. Turn your battery switch of and charge the batteries.

Thanks guys, that is probably what it is. I will charge the batteries!
Thanks!

I'd recommend buying a battery tender or pulling batteries during winter.
