My first Baja
I just purchased my first Baja, a 1997 232 Performance. It's got 420hrs on it with the 7.4L carb and is in pretty decent shape. I've been out two weekends on it and love it so far.
It is my 3rd boat in my 3 years of boating. So far I have upgraded each year of boating because I just love it so much. My first was a 1985 VIP 16' Deckliner, then last year I had a 1995 Celebrity 18' bowrider. But I think the 232 is about the limit of my tow vehicle so I am hoping to have it longer than a year! http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/2236/wp000092.th.jpg http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8...e2c9033.th.jpg |
Good looking Baja! Welcome to OSO and the Baja family!

Congrats! I had a '97 232 Islander as a loaner boat for a week once while my other boat was being repaired. It too had a 7.4L carb and was a blast to run around in.

trailblzer with a 25 on its tail...yikes  you might want to rethink that and start thinking full size tahoe before you go any bigger or you truck might take an unexpected bath. Congrats on your purchase! welcome to the Baja fam

I pull my 24 outlaw with a trailblazer and it's pushing the limit. The only reason i'm ok with pulling that much boat with that little truck is because my trip to the ramp is about a mile.

Well I do have the SS model which is rated at 6800lb tow, it has wider tires, factory airbag suspension, and much larger brakes which all help.
I wanted to keep her for at least 4 more years but I'm sure you guys are right and I'll be needed a tow vehicle upgrade in a year or 2 lol. |
