They are Carling actuators. Check eBay. You could get something close like this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CROWN...ssoriesQ5fGear

I just replaced all my actuators from Greatlakesskipper with the newer style.

Those are what I replaced all mine with. Much nicer. Lettering will not fade since they're engraved.

Yeah, I guess that is what I will have to do.. can't seem to find the same exact style.. Thanks for the help!

This is the closest thing I have found, but I am not sure if it will work...

That one will fit but is extremely over priced. I think I paid $5.95 each for mine. It may not match the rest perfectly, but it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing all of them.

Google Carling Contura II actuator and or switch before shelling out $20 for one.

I have a brand new set still in the box......But my communication skills are so terrible doubt you would want them.

I replaced a few of mine with the ones at GLS, but they didn't have all of them. I guess if I had the black switches I would have been ok. Anybody have or know where I can get white switch covers???? If I can't find any, ill have to buy ones that are just plain white.......

Chrsbaja 06-03-2011 10:32 AM

Are these switches hard to replace? Just pop off and snap in new ones? Mine are faded a bit a swell and I did buy some from GLS, just haven't put them on yet.

Skullkrusher 06-03-2011 03:49 PM

This problem seems to come up once a month. GLS has quite a few but not all. I can't figure out why no one has a stock of every single one of them.

Baja_342 06-03-2011 04:34 PM

Its because they don't make them anymore.

There is a tool for easy removal of the old ones. If you don't care if they break or are already don't worry about it.

From the sound of things it would take both slickviper and plxoer a week just to figure out how to operate a row boat, let alone a powerboat.

Quite possibly, row boats are rather challenging.. all that timing of the paddles and such.. I think I will stick to a wheel. :drink: In all honesty though, it's a very nice boat. Should have no problem selling it to get into your 38.
