Scam or good deal??
 

I found this great looking 24 outlaw online and it is 50% under what many sell for...something must be wrong with it I would think, may be going up to look at it sometime if it is truely a good buy... what do the rest of you think judging by article, will update with more info when I get a reply from ownerr

I think i would show up with 8k cash. 12k seems high to me. last year i purchased a 97 Baja 272 with 454 mag, for 11k

Price is in the ballpark for a 1994.

What condition was your 272 in? That's one low price!

boat new was around 25k so 12 is about right..

Okay well that is good to know, most I see are atleast 20 grand....hey the 8k Idea is good, but with all the rebuilds I wouldn't trust to buy without a survey, I assume others could agree with this.

Thats a great price on a 272, not sure if Ive ever seen one that cheap.

$12k sounds about right on the 24. $10k would be a good buy if its nice.

Same here, and there have been some good buys in the 4 figure range on 24 Outlaws. Ive been waiting patiently for the right buy.

well i am hoping/thinking this one will begood.... do you thnk the rebuilds are good or bad

that is a good/ fair price for one. i would have started a little higher and my bottom dollar been around his asking number.

depending on the engine builder..... rebuilds can be awesome. the biggest enemy IMHO is an engine builder that does street/drag engines and will not listen to the specs you get from someone that sets up marine engines and is giving you this info out of the goodness of their heart. marine engines are set up different. they have a constant load and their internals can get HOT.

Mine used the word "overkill" with my forged crank and pistons that bob madera chose for me. Bob also gave me a spec sheet that my builder didnt agree with. he said it was too loose. guess what? ive pushed that engine many times and she has over 75hours on her and 2 seasons. im gonna stroke her in 2 more!

This is the boat i bought. not sure why the guy still has it listed. there has been no mech problems with the boat i have had it out 5 or 6 times. really clean boat guy was hurting pretty bad for money going threw a divorce. there was a small water problem in the cutty but i caught it and fixed before anything was hurt

no way my 88 240 sport same as a 24ol was 23 to 25 grand a friends 250 sport 90 was 36,000 in 90 a 94 ol 24 would of gone for 35,000 to 38,000. a good friend of mine owned a BAJA DEALERSHIP back then. he has a mint 250 sport = 270 es with about 20hours on it at there shop now its a 1990 also. thats a great price for a 94 ol, if you look it has SM exhaust which is good uo to 800hp there gen 2s. my boat ran mid 80s with a ol fairing instead of a windshield and 650hp.
