Like I said its overkill...but it looks cool.:drink: And you don't even know its there. |
If you want a interesting single, go to www.grandsportcenter.com in the chicago suburbs. They have a 2007 26 outlaw with a merc 600sci on a new trailer for your price range.
Insurance will be high on 525 hp or up, but this is a rare runnin boat. |

What have you all used to tow your boats? I currently have a 09 Escalade ESV, will it be ok to tow a 33' OL with the stock towing package? Most go the Diesel route?
Boat is about 7500lbs dry + fuel, gear, cooler, crap ect. ect. ect. 1500+ lbs. 2000+ lbs for the trailer. It's not leagal, so you are screwed if anything happens, and it won't be safe either. Will it pull the boat, yes, will it brake if something happens and you need to do so fast? No. Will the ESV like it? Prolly not. Would I do it? No. I would at least use a 2500/250 12.000+ lbs tow rating size truck with diesel for safe and comfortalbe towing. The ESV will also be thirsty as hell, towing a 33OL.

I would defenitly drive teh 26OL and some Fountains. I can say that my 26OL can handle rough water fine. My friend recently upgraded from a 245 to a 27 Fever. His boat has the same power as mine, 496HO, lists as the same weight, 4900#, and is about 7-10 mph faster than me. The Fountain is a faster hull, but from the mouth of my friend who is an experienced boater, is not for begginers. You really have to drive the boat and be carefull cornering and such due to the nature of the stepped hull. He said that my 26OL is a much nicer ride and easier to drive.
I love my boat. That said it is for sale since my kids would rather have a pool. Its an '07 model and is on boat trader if your are interested. |
