K&N filter

Anyone have an opinion on putting a K&N filter on my 98 502 MPI.. Anyone seen benefits worth the $225?

I wouldn't bother. They don't do much. Not worth the money IMO.

I run them in my cars because they only need cleaning and oiling. I drive a lot of miles and for $40 - $50 they pay for themselves in that application.

I had one on my 454EFI, made NO difference, other than looking cool, of course lots of stuff in boating is like that, really, do powdercoated cup holders make your boat any quicker? LOL

It's been up a few times lately. The general concensus form users and engine builders was, that they in most cases worked poorly compared to the original flame arrestors. Do a search, lot's of info about it here.

I used them before I supercharged...I used the Hardin Marine # 620-12664..it is a cheaper alternative to the ones you are talking about..I think mine were around $150 ish ea... I did notice 1 mph..I had 454 mags in a 33OL... went 66 without them and 67 with them..that is GPS speed!
