I believe he had the motors re-did in 09 when I ran the Shootout. I am thinking they have been re-cammed & may have some head work done to them. Otherwise they are Merc 575SCi's.

He said it ran better with more people in it. I was willing help a brutha out!

Good run for sure John

I dont know if it was the air or the driver, but the boat should have ran better.

Dart Iron Eagle heads, ( kept iron heads to keep from
screwing up the center of gravity of the boat)
hyd roller cam and ECM recalibration.

Dean Gellner built and supplied the heads, reflashed the ecm's, and supplied the camshaft.....it's his recipe.

I had the block honed, decked, ringed and bearinged
it ( was able to go back to stock clearances) and
reassembled it, used MLS head gaskets, new rockers
pushrods, timing chain, morel lifters, ARP head bolts.

The accessory mounting bolt holes at the ends of the head
have to be drilled and tapped to 7/16 fine thread, and the
factory engine lifting hooks are no longer usable due to
that most aftermarket heads dont have the intake bolt holes
between the intake ports.....I ended up making a set of plates
that bolt to the ex side of the head for lifting purposes.

That's it in a nutshell.

JT's boat looked good on the water we went by just before ran. I have some pics but need to down load them off the GF's Camera.
