It does seem strange. I also find it funny when people/dealers/brokers or whoever only show one picture, and most of the time even that picture sucks.
It also is listed as having a/c, gen, radar :) I sent an email, nothing yet. But if he replies with a scam, I will respond with my ex's SS# and personal info :coolcowboy: |
looks like this one. A bit of a difference in price.

those pictures where taken at the same time looks like, same guy on the back and the cover is in the exact same spot. The drives are the same also. I would say its the same boat.
|
that's my old boat,,,fastboats.com was the orginal listing agent,,i traded it in aug 2010,,,fastboat has most of the pics i sent to him,,,
|
One of the few 35's with a genset. I like that setup, but I'm guessing Ping Pong's deal of $65K will go something like this....Boat is at storage wherehouse and will be shiped. plese send wire tranfffer. You hav 7 day to test drive auto befor deciding to purchas. Don't worry, this is safe 4 both buyer and seler.
|
had no gen set,,
|
yes looks like a scam.
why are these things not selling? Is it really that bad out there. This one has been on ebay a few times and at $50k, it seems like a good price for an 03. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...item3a6e1de0d8 Is it because there is no trailer? |
Thats not a scam. I know that guy. He sells watches in Miami. He is on TBM and I think he is on OSO too. I've talked to him numerous times about 496 alarms.

I've seen that one also. Looks like a salt water boat though.
"have 4 guys interested" "2 guys are coming back with deposits". " price is FIRM, giving it away at this price" "It WONT last long" etc, etc, etc. That was probably at LEAST a year ago, guess the guys coming back with deposits got lost??........ |

The 65K ad that is... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...item3a6e1de0d8 This one isnt a scam - although it is the starting price. Its salt but it was very well taken care of from what I have seen. Every time he called me it seemed like he spent the money to fix it right. It was at a marina high and dry -it was flushed every time it was taken out. Just call him, his number is in the ad. |

It does have cloded cooling, which is a plus. However, after changing the wheel bearing on my truck that has seen 4 NY slaty winters I deciced I will never own a slat water boat. Things are tight enough in a bilge, can't imagine using torches and easy outs to get the job done. Seems like a good deal however, me thinks if he picked up a trailer somewhere and listed for $58k with trailer it would be sold by now. |
Maybe the reason for the low price is that its a liner
boat, 06 to 09s you cant give them away. |

Did you expect him to tell you he cheaped on repairs, left it in the water all the time, and didn't flush it as much as he should have? :)

I agree 100% Salt water and NO trailer where 2 things that steered me away, along with the 'Tude I got from the seller. It IS a nice looking boat though, 50MPH at 4K in one of the videos, looks like it was well kept too. |

Yes, the video shows it cruising around Florida, not sure if its salt or not? I spoke to the seller about a year ago and Emailed a few questions, seller responded by telling me all the info was in the ad. Then he gave me the "cheesy" sales pitch

As a current boat shopper I've heard just about every line in the book...yet somehow months later their boat is still for sale. :lolhit: |

No, that would be my boat.... After living on a freshwater lake for 10 years I still dont see the big deal of boating in salt, especially if you have closed cooling. If your boat is lift kept and flushed, salt water isnt that bad, just do a 5 min wash down. When I tore my engines apart the closed cooling system looked perfect. The only noticeable difference I see is possibly more drive wear. Other than that, boating in salt water is way better than any lake I have been. |
My boat was formerly used in Salt, its closed loop, but, stuff like interior, swivel pin and transom seals take a beating though.

If you had the choice of 2 five year old used trucks, one from NY and one from Florida which one would you choose? |

Not saying I don't like the ocean, I love it. However, a semi neglected fresh water boat is no big deal, salt it is a different story. Closed cooling works, no question. But it only eliminates one of many problems that occur with salt and metal.
