I got one of these off of Ebay. I like it way better than tyhe Anchor Shade you show. My freind has the shade and it takes forever to put up and down. I leave my bracketts on my bolsters and the umbrella goes up in seconds.

The mounts fit tight to side of bolster and the pole actually is against the seat at the top of the bolter. It is a 6 ft umbrella and is actually bigger than my buddies anchor shade. I have half a beer gone by the time he has his up. All I do when I am not using my shade is turn the bracketts inward under the bolster. Never in the way.

I had one of these sun shades from Overtons, put it up on my boat in the driveway as a test wasnt to bad. Went to the lake and on a day with a slight breeze it provided a huge amount of entertainment for many wifes watching three men fight it. It was on a 272 Islander, it looked good and was plenty big enough just not very durable.sold it with the boat.

Anchor shades are easy to use and stand up fine in a breeze. you must not have set it right or something.
Expand the umbrella, hook it to the front/side cleats then go back and hook it to the back/side cleats. Adjust it once for the boat and it will be ready to go any time. The shade is great. I've only used mine a half a dozen times, but man when you need it you need it. Would be nice if it was a little taller and even bigger, but it is pretty darn good as it is. |
I love mine! My cockpit is a little small. I like to set the center post on my back seat on a frisbee and it covers the sunpad nicely. for those really hot sunny days. Its awesome!
