Did that 36 outlaw with staggers sell??

It was a late 90's, purple SST graphics. In Texas I thought. Anyone know if it sold?

thisistank 02-11-2012 01:36 AM

Sooooooo...no? No one knows?

Irishtornado 02-11-2012 01:44 AM

Are you talking about the B-36 apba boat?

offshorexcursion 02-11-2012 04:23 AM

Post the link irish!

I thought I saw a 1998 36 outlaw with side by side mercy 900sc's for sale also. Irish thinks I am confusing it with the staggered step haul race boat that he is revering to?

rumrunner29 02-11-2012 05:07 AM

Tank is talking about the staggered outlaw that was for sale a while back, looked pretty cool, but needed tons of TLC. I never heard anymore about the boat after the last thread about it. There is a purple and yellow 36 for sale with side by side 900s, it has been for sale a long, long time. Wasn't the staggered, step hull outlaw a 40 footer?

HOSSMAN 02-11-2012 09:06 AM

Are you talking about the one that was at Hawkeye...std. SST graphics, needed a little love, that is the only other stag 36 that I know of besides B-36. B-36 last I remember hearing was still sitting in a hanger somewhere up in Dallas.

There is the other 36 with std. set up 900's in it. Been for sale off and on for a while now. Good looking boat from the pix.

MRBAJA.

Only link I know of is on BBO. Otherwise I don't know of anything posted regarding the staggered B-36

RumRunner is correct...I'm talking about the late 90's purple and white SST graphics 36 with staggered N/A power. I think it was in Texas. It did in fact need a butt load of work but the price was good and it was a very cool "one off" boat.

Here's the orginal link with a little more info....

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/b...aw-sale-2.html

couple pics from the baja history thread too:

And by they way, here's the other 36 staggered outlaw. This is the other one you guys are thinking of. And then there was the 36 with big power and 6's but it wasn't staggered. I believe these are the only two staggered 36's ever built.

XT-Innovator 02-20-2012 11:00 AM

Tank,

I think you want the one here in Ohio that is the subject of this old link: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/b...6-ol-600s.html

Ed is the last owner that I know of, and his OSO name is rhodeiii

Ebay Ed 02-20-2012 12:35 PM

Ed Rhodei is a lawyer somewhere around sandusky as far as i know his boat is still for sale Gary at Griffs Engines in Sandusky knows him and can get in touch with him

thisistank 02-20-2012 06:34 PM

Interesting. Just wondering of it sold and if a buyer was going to give it the TLC it needed to get back into shape. I dig the boat.

So it's still for sale but not listed anywhere eh? I assume it won't sell very quick that way. :)

TBAG 02-20-2012 06:37 PM

If I remember right this boat used to reside on Cumberland?

thisistank 03-05-2012 10:53 PM

So anyone know how to get ahold of the seller?

WOTW2E 03-08-2012 05:21 AM

Tight tight!

It would be better to convert it to a straight rear bench seat.

I looked at boat today. Ed was a great guy and funny as hell. The boat is super cool and has ton's of character but needs alot of love. For the right money I would def pick it up but its a project for sure.

Thanks Paul. CL ad is asking 42. Could've sworn the last ad was asking 35k. Did you happen to take note of what needs to be done? Full redo?

Tank, you are correct. The last time it was listed it was mid to high 30s on the price, I do remember that. Looks like a sweet boat, I don't think I could handle the loss of cockpit space. XT is right, I would for sure change it to a straight back seat!

paul235 03-11-2012 09:37 AM

Has some glass issues.power looked great.im kinda crazy so yes i would do a total redo.if ya have questions you can shoot me a call 440 305 eleven 85.

Thanks Paul (and rum runner). I was just entertaining the idea but really don't want to deal with a project.

But it would be a fun/cool boat to have and rejoin my fellow Baja Brotheren

This boat is in a friend of mines shop in Anderson, SC now. They are pulling the engines and going to do a complete rebuild. I will keep you posted on the progress of their rebuild.

Did your buddy purchase the boat???
In spite of the repairs necessary I think it would be a great purchase in the mid 30's.
With Baja have being such a large volume builder it's really cool to own a one off factory boat.
I purchased mine last year at the exact same pricing level, mid 30's.
I just wish my construction company could generate more sales so I could round up the coin to get her hull and deck looking as ship shape as she did in her glory days. My seller had her tied to the dock in the sun from Memorial day to Labor day every summer from the day he bought it.
I think it's beyond buffing and needs an all over paint job.

See ya,
Kelly

I have not seen the boat yet. We were at the local poker run last week and the boat came up in conversation. I hope to get by and take a look at it sometime. I know their first priority is to get the engines out and go through them. Know the guy who has it when he is through it will look better than the day it rolled out of the factory.

Full Force 07-01-2012 06:48 PM

I saw the boat when it was for sale last summer local to me, I think it is a sweet boat with tons of potential....
