I was wondering if i can see some pics of custom sterio systems that are in a baja 25 outlaw I just bought 2 10inch subs 4 speakers and 2 amps and want to know the best locations to mount everything thanks

I dont have a Outlaw, but just did my Boss 302. Installed 2 10" JL subs in the panel under the rear bench facing out. Dont have any rattle. Also put 6 7.7" JL coaxials in, and a pair of 6.5" JL coaxials in. Also a new Clarion CMD6 with a remote on the rear so you can change it from the water, and one on drivers helm. Put all my amps down in the cabin under the bed. Thought about putting them behind the glove box insert but went ahead and put them under bed that way if they get warm i can put a fan on them.

If you check the member video section on this forum I just posted a video that has a short clip of my sub install spot. I will post pics to try and save you some time since boat stereo installs are very time consuming. I will show you a pic of my amp setup on here when I get a chance I spent 8 solid hours on the wiring alone just for the two amps not including the subs, battery, ground, and wiring from the head unit. This is my second install it took over 20 hours but when it's done right it will last. Very important first step is to be set on where you want the stuff to be. You will learn after trying to route wires the process can be grouling.

Couple of other quick tips to make it smoother.
-Buy stainless hardware

-pre measure and cut your wires for power and ground and get them setup to ensure the amp turns on. A bad ground caused me 3 hours of wasted time troublershooting on my first install.

-Solder every wire end, zip tie all loose wires, use Kon-Form if wires will be wet often.

-install a seperate battery switch for the amps.

This install is on my Baja H2X I think the setup is very similar. The subs you can see are at the bow. I used a piece of angle steel to secure it firmly to the seat bracket and i added wood to achieve the level height I needed.

The amps are mounted under the port side cabin seat the space is useless anyway and it is a nice dry spot with easy access to the wiring of the Head Unit which is mounted just behind the wall you see the big black bluk of wires of going to. I have two batteries one is solely for the stereo. I also added a simple toggle switch inline to the sub amps remote turn on that way if the battery gets low you can just shut that amp off and still get tunes.

I also mounted the amps on 3/4" plywood to keep them off the carpet if it does get wet, and also side mounted angle steel on both sides ti secure the amps without having to drill down to the bottom of the hull since I do not know how thick it is eliminating the risk of going all the way through.

Let me know if you need any other advice.

One thing that I have done which really gets you clean, loud power is to install a capacitor (personally I use a 4.0 farad) and a blue optima battery which my capacitor is wired directly to. Your amps are then wired to the capacitor for power. Ive found that this gives the amps all the power they need and your sound will be clean and clear.

You need to look at JL's new amps VERY SMALL and efficient. I have 3 mounted under my bed in the bow of my 302 on the wall of the storage area.
