Cabin lights 342

Ok so the cabin light switch in the main panel in the cabin, turns on all the flush mount over head lights.

Anyone know how to change those bulbs? and if so ever put a LED in there?

also baja wired the light in the head to this switch, so you can have just the bathroom light on. going to change that, but wondered if anyone knows where that light in the head connects? at the switch panel? or is it in parallel with the other over head lights?

would like LED in the 4 wall amps as well but the ovver heads are used more.

Just twist the ring to get to the bulbs in the overheads. I replaced the corner ones (helm switch) with red LEDs, as those are the ones I use more.

Yea I know about your thread, but my new boat has different corner lamps then those, and I want to change the bulbs out in the flat ones that are over head...

you said the cabin light switch in the main panel.
it is in parallel with the other over head lights.i think
:thankyouthankyou:
bathroom light

I dont think so. if i only turn on the cabin lights switch on the main panel in the cabin, the over head flush mounts work, and the bathroom light.

if I use the cabin light switch on the dash, it give the 4 wall lamps power. seams to be separated, but will try again to make sure.

thanks for the link!

so just ordered 10 of these.

6 for over head and 4 for lamps, think they will fit?

If you know where I can get a couple replacement lights (the whole light assembly) like you have pictured, I could use two new ones.

Yes. I have a link on my laptop. On my phone right now. Give me a day or so and I'll post it. I may have in the last year or two if you feel like searching.

These are from ITC's ebay store. I used ITC lights for a long time at Baja.

Yes I got them. Big thanks to the two of you for your help. I got them through Defender products (a distributor for ITC). I really appreciate you guys helping all of us Baja guys. I'm getting a lot closer to my boat being in new condition :drink:

Just noticed Harley beat me to it.

Keith Atlanta 04-30-2012 07:17 AM

Isnt there an LED replacement bulb for most of these?

The Halogens are HOT! And there are obvious benefits to the LED's for power.

There is a reason for that. Since it is in a closed room you will forget about it. So, once the cabin lights are off, you are safe to not leave it on.

mittens 05-01-2012 03:10 PM

I dont mine it being on a switch, but its ont a switch that has 6 other lights wired to it with out a switch to turn them off. For intance.

i am asleep and the girl wants to pee. she has to turn on the 6 over head lights and the bathroom one.

Now, if they would have wired it to the dash cabin lights switch we could at least turn off those wal lamps before we passed out so the bathroom would work..

mittens 05-01-2012 03:12 PM

so any clue what where to get a LED one to fit the bathroom?

mittens 05-24-2012 08:09 AM

got in the white 25 LED replacments and they work GREAT!
