baja 25 outlaw 496 w procharger ???? wheres the stringer?

ok so im about to close this deal on this baja 25 outlaw today. except today i found a problem with the boat that really has my attention now and i cannot find any info by searching that shows pictures or anything. the boat has a 496 ho with a procharger but the stringer is seriously notched

is this normal? is it safe ? will the motor torquing wreck anything?

any help is greatly appreciated...

as soon as i find out whats up here ill be able to decide weather or not to buy the boat.

thanks in advance

That took almost all the stringer out. Looks like the fire wall has been cut too.

I don't know if I would take that chance if it were me.

I'm not an expert by any means but, WOW.....I've got to think that would effect the structural integrity.

i really dont know , the boat has 365 hours on it and i could definetly get it for the right price but this scares me... im not familiar with these boats can it be reinforced?

how does everyone else run a pro charger?

I would stay away, way to much cut out. Look at where the engine is bolted in and what is holding it. There is a guy on BBO that has one on his 25' Outlaw and he didn't cut all that out.

Run away, don't walk.. Not a good choice to days of happy carefree boating.

yeah this sucks
the boat is my father in laws and he has never ever had a problem since the boat was his... thing is he didnt even know the stringer was notched, until i saw it today...(ive done alot of boating with him.

thing is i could steal the boat.... it has an XR drive too and 340 hours on it . the boat is an sst with trailer and cover and everything to boot. its obvious it hasnt been a problem but im just wondering does anyone think if the price is right that i should have a brace fabricated ? or have a class guy reinforce?
is there a reason why it cannot be fixed ? im all ears right now

i know what you guys are saying but im just wondering if it hasnt had any problems why would it ?

and whats the going rate for a boat like this ? i could get this boat for less than 19.5k

thanks again guys...

What year is the boat? When was the procharger added?

List of good things:
Its cheap

List of bad things:
Huge notch in the stringer
has a 496 with pro charger
has 340+ hours on a 496 with a pro charger
