blueprint outlaw hull

I have heard several people say that outlaws have a problem with "hooks" on the hull. thinking about getting mine blueprinted. anyone have any feedback? I have heard not to spend money on performance upgrades until the hull is straight and you can get the bow up out of the water.

Let me know what you find out, I am interested as well.

BTW, it was nice meeting you this past weekend, you have a nice 25OL.

thanks, did you have the white 11' 26 OL? I have the same name on mwbp fyi.

That was us and we have the same name as well.

I want to make sure I have the right shop doing the blueprinting and not someone who thinks they know.

All I know is my boat ran 94 mph without modifying the hull. Indy's 29 went slower after he had his hull done.
I think that it would be best to have Jason Billmeyer do the work, if you really think you need to do it.
My opinion is to work with what you have. Concentrate on the simple stuff, then be happy with the boat.

I took a 5' level to mine running forward from the transom and it seems level however when I contacted Raylar they said it would pick up maybe 2 mph having the bottom done and then to do power upgrades. If it's not worth it then I won't do it.

I hired my hull blueprinted and got completely screwed on the deal. I have since fixed the hull myself and I can say that it is straight and true. As far as speed is concerned, it may have given me a mile an hour, but the best part is the handling of the boat. It seems to bite the water better and glide through easier.

I would not do it again. I think it is better to put your efforts elsewhere. If you decide to do it, make sure you know the guy doing it knows what he is doing.

Jason what kind of baja do you have what kind of power do have and out drivers to get that seed thanks

TW720HVY 06-26-2012 03:08 PM

Irish had his done, but he has a Boss not an Outlaw, I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I also do know the our OL has a hard time getting it's nose up.

I have a 29 Outlaw. At the time it had Whipples, a head & cam change, IMCO extension boxes, -3" IMCO SC drives and about 10lbs of boost.
